Pedestrian hit on 250

SANDUSKY – A 26-year-old woman was transported to the hospital Friday evening after she was struck by a car on U.S. Route 250.

According to a report from the Perkins Township Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of Bay Winds Drive and Route 250, when the pedestrian was crossing Route 250 in a crosswalk. At the same time, a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by a 74-year-old Bellevue woman, turned left onto Route 250 and struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, of Sandusky, was transported to Fireland Regional Medical Center for suspected minor injuries.

The driver of the Subaru was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
