Free mental health screening sessions to be held in May

SANDUSKY – The Erie County Community Foundation and the Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services Board of Erie County will be holding two free mental health screening sessions during May, which is Mental Health Month.

The first sessions will be held on Tuesday, May 7 from 1pm until 4pm at BGSU Firelands, and the second will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 9am until 12pm at the Firelands Regional Medical Center’s Mylander Conference Room.

Sessions include free screenings for mental health and addiction problems and an “ask the doctor” segment to answer questions about behavioral health disorders with Dr. Linda Waters, LPCC-S, Assistant Teaching Professor of Psychology at BGSU – Firelands, and Dr. Michelle Clinger, Ph.D., Clinical Director of Firelands Counseling & Recovery Service.

The free screenings are sponsored by Bayshore Counseling Services, BGSU Firelands, Erie County Health Department, Family Health Services, and Firelands Regional Medical Center.
