MILAN – Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Lash has been named the 2023 Trooper of the Year for the Milan Post.

The Patrol says Trooper Lash was selected by fellow troopers, his supervisors, and dispatchers in recognition of his outstanding service, including his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Trooper Lash joined the Highway Patrol in 2019 and was also elected the Milan Post’s Trooper of the Year in 2022. He resides in Sheffield Village with his wife and two children.

He is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award, which will be announced at a later date.
