Huron woman named the Highway Patrol Sandusky Post Dispatcher of the Year

SANDUSKY – Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Melissa Lowrey-Huntley has been selected as the 2023 Dispatcher of the Year at the Sandusky Patrol Post.

The Patrol says Lowrey-Huntley was selected by fellow dispatchers and troopers in recognition of her outstanding service during 2023 at the Sandusky Patrol Post based on her leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Dispatcher Lowrey-Huntley joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2006. She has also earned the Ohio Gold Star Award in 2022, Dispatcher of the Year for the Sandusky Post, and District Dispatcher of the Year in 2009.

Dispatcher Lowrey-Huntley is originally from Bellevue but currently resides with her husband in Huron, Ohio. She has four children and assists in coaching the Huron High School track and cross-country teams.
