John White

John R. White, 81, residing in Sandusky passed away Thursday afternoon at Admiral’s Pointe Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

He was born on November 20, 1940 to the late Milton “Tink” White and Helen (Zeck) Cozzie. He married Emma Dee (Miller) White on July 16, 1960. He later married Debbie (Dean) White on May 20, 2009.

John was the owner/operator of John’s Body Shop in Sandusky for over 40 years. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

John was a member of the Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church and Car Coddlers. His favorite hobby was restoring classic cars. He also enjoyed Nascar Racing, working with his hands and playing with his children and grandchildren. He was a fun-loving, honest and trustworthy man who cherished his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Debbie White, daughters, Renee Neyman of Sandusky and Kelly (Chris) Voegle of Vickery, grandchildren, Jessica (Dominic) Petrick of Dedham, MA and James Voegle of Vickery, great-grandchildren, Andrew and Samuel Petrick, brother, Thomas White of Sandusky and many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Emma Dee, son, Robert Dwayne White and five brothers.

A private memorial service will be held at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Hanck officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of life on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at noon at the American Legion Picnic Shelter.
