Two men arrested, accused of assaulting bar owner, bartender

SANDUSKY – Two men were arrested early Saturday morning, after they allegedly knocked the owner of Barrel House unconscious and assaulted a bartender.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, police responded to the bar for a report of a fight and people unconscious in the parking lot.

When police arrived, they spoke to the bartender, who claimed that the incident started when a group of men were being rowdy and fighting and the owner asked them to leave. She claimed that, while the men left the bar, they stayed in the parking lot and started fighting.

According to the report, the bartender claimed that, when the owner went outside to breakup the fight, 26-year-old Grant Mcbee sucker punched the owner. She also said that she was punched by 27-year-old Zakari Eshoo in the parking lot, which caused her to fall.

The owner was transported to the emergency room by the Sandusky Fire Department. According to the report, he received received 5 stitches to his chin.

Eshoo, of Urbandale, Iowa, was charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. Mcbee, of Indianola, Iowa, was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and criminal damaging, a first-degree misdemeanor.
