Governor DeWine tests positive for COVID-19

COLUMBUS – Governor Mike DeWine has tested positive for COVID-19, his office announced on Twitter.

As of Saturday evening, Governor DeWine had been experiencing mild symptoms such as a runny nose, headache, body aches, and a sore throat. He has been diagnosed with the disease by his personal physician and has received a monoclonal antibody treatment.

Both Governor DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine are in quarantine.

First Lady DeWine is experiencing no symptoms and has tested negative.

Both of the DeWines are fully vaccinated, each having received the two-dose vaccination and a booster shot.
