Man arrested after allegedly throwing pizza rolls at girlfriend

SANDUSKY – A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he allegedly threw hot pizza rolls at his girlfriend.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, police were called to a Venice Heights Boulevard apartment by a woman, who claimed Anthony Bye, 40, was intoxicated and had thrown hot food at her.

When police arrived, according to the report, they found Bye outside on the sidewalk. He claimed they were just arguing and nothing physical had taken place, the report states.

According to the report, police then spoke to the complainant. She claimed, the report states, they were arguing while Bye was microwaving pizza rolls. According to the report, she said that he then exited the kitchen and threw the pizza rolls on her.

The report states that pizza sauce was found on the complainant and pizza rolls were found on the floor.

The complainant added that Bye assaults her often, the report states;

Bye was arrested and charged with assault (M1) and domestic violence (F3).

The domestic violence charge was elevated to a felony due to Bye having prior three domestic violence charges; two in 2004 and one in2017.
