Man allegedly found with crack pipe, knives while being served with warrants

SANDUSKY – When police arrested Tony Harper, 64, of Sandusky, for several outstanding warrants Tuesday evening, they alleged found a crack pipe and knives in his pocket.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, an officer, who knew of Harper’s outstanding warrants, observed him walk in to the Rite Aid on Sycamore Line. After confirming the warrants with dispatch, according to the report, the officer arrested Harper while he was exiting the bathroom.

According to the report, while the officer was searching Harper, he located a pipe, which is commonly used to inhale crack cocaine, and two knives in his left pocket.

Due to Harper being a known drug user, the report states, he was charged with Possession of Cocaine (F5) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (F4). He was then transported to the Erie County Jail.
