Aaron pleads not guilty to 2020 murder

SANDUSKY – Maleek Aaron, 24, of Sandusky, plead not guilty Tuesday to the 2020 murder of Bernasto Hardin.

Aaron is accused of shooting four people, one of which was Hardin, in Sandusky in September 2020.

It took over a year for Aaron to be arrested for the shooting. In January, he was arrested along with Tevin Latin, the man accused of murdering Trinidy Jones, in Spartanburg County, SC.

Aaron is charged with one count of Aggravated Murder, one count of Attempted Aggravated Murder, one count of Murder, one count of Attempted Murder, one count of Participating in Criminal Gang, three counts of Felonious Assault, and one count of Impropriety Discharging a Firearm at or into a Habitation or a School Safety Zone.

The pretrial is set for March 1.

Aaron is currently being held on $420,000 bond and is in the Erie County Jail.
