Ten new COVID-19 deaths in Erie County

SANDUSKY – From January 9 to January 15 in Erie County, there were 1,341 new cases of COVID-19, ten new COVID-19 deaths, and 57 new COVID-19 hospitalizations.

This a slight decree in COVID-19 cases from last week’s record setting number of 1,436.

19,051 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 in Erie County.

278 people have now died from COVID-19 in Erie County.

40 people are currently being treated for COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 25 of those people are unvaccinated. 1,575 people have now been hospitalized for COVID-19 in Erie County.

44,969 or 60.55% of people in Erie County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 42,155 or 56.76% of people in Erie County have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 22,675 people in Erie County have also received their COVID-19 booster shot.
