Ryan Ross

Ryan C. Ross, 36, residing in Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Ryan was born on January 7, 1986 in Port Clinton, OH to the late James William and Ruth Agnes (Ray) Ross.

Ryan was an electrician in Florida, before returning to Ohio following the death of his mother. Once home he went back to into the food service industry, and became a certified chef at the Bistro 163 in Port Clinton. He was a cat lover, liked music, being outdoors and spending time with his children when he could. Although Ryan was non-denominational, he did have a relationship with God and attended church at different periods in his life.

Ryan is survived by his daughter, Kayla Ross of Statesville, NC; son, Riley Ross of Rocky Ridge, OH; brothers, Eric Ross of Port Clinton and Jeffrey Ross of Dade City, FL; grandmother, Laura “Irene” Ray or Granny Ray and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Ryan is preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Shirley “Sherd” Ray and Robert and Joyce Ritchey; uncle, William Ray and aunt, Rita Ray.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at St John Lutheran Church, 450 N Rocky Ridge Rd., Oak Harbor, OH 43449. Pastor Holli Burkard will officiate. Burial will follow in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, OH. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
