Nancy Botbyl

Nancy D. (Fuhr) Botbyl, 59, residing in Bay View, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 9, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born on January 22, 1962 in Sandusky, OH to the late Carl and Glenna (Karr) Fuhr.

Nancy graduated from Sandusky High School in 1980. She retired in 2016 from the Erie County Housing Authority. Her greatest joy and most treasured times were spent with her grandchildren and family.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Gregg A. Botbyl, whom she married on April 22, 2018. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James and Audrey of Bay View and Dylan, Tori, and Cassie of Crystal Rock; great-granddaughter, Isabelle; sister, Kitty Jones of Sandusky and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her former husband, James Drake; daughter, Amanda and brother, Steve Fuhr.

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
