Erie County Health Department to host vaccine clinics to administer COVID-19 booster shots, now scheduling appointments

SANDUSKY – The Erie County Health Department and Erie County Community Health Center is now scheduling appointments for COVID-19 booster shot clinics on Saturday, October 16 from 9AM to 1PM and Friday, October 22 from 9AM to 12PM.

In order to be eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot, an individual must have received their second dose of Pfizer vaccine at least a six months ago and must be in one of the following groups,

  • People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings
  • People ages 50 to 64 with certain underlying medical conditions
  • People ages 18 to 49 who are at high risk for severe COVID-19 due to certain underlying medical conditions
  • People ages 18-64 who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of an occupational or institutional setting
