Local highway construction for the week of September 6

North Central Ohio – Here is a look at construction projects that are anticipated to impact highways in Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca counties on the week of September 6.

Erie County

There are no active projects in Erie County.

Huron County

State Route 162 will close just east of Rome Greenwich Road and just west of Greenwich Milan Townline Road on Monday, September 13 for culvert replacements. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 162 to SR 61, south on SR 61 to U.S. 224, east on U.S. 224 to SR 13, north on SR 13 to SR 162, and reverse for westbound motorists. The estimated completion date is Friday, September 24.

Lorain County

State Route 254 between State Route 301 and Case Road will close on Tuesday, September 7 for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for eastbound motorists will be SR 254 to SR 301, north on SR 301 to SR 611, east on SR 611 to SR 254, and reverse for westbound motorists. The estimated completion date is Friday, September 10.

Ottawa County

State Route 2 between SR 53 and SR 269 may experience lane restrictions for pavement repairs on Tuesday, September 7.

State Route 105 between S. Elliston-Trowbridge Road and S. Graytown Road in Harris Township will be closed for a slope repair project beginning Tuesday, September 7 through Tuesday, September 14. The detour is SR 105 to SR 51 to SR 163 to SR 590 to SR 105.

Sandusky County

U.S. Route 6 between CR 232 and TR 240 in Fremont is closed for a bridge replacement. The estimated completion date is September 30. The detour is US 20 to SR 412 to SR 510.

Eastbound U.S. Route 20 between State Street and US 6 in Fremont is closed for a slope repair. The estimated completion date is September 10. The detour is US 20 to SR 590 to US 6 to US 20.

Westbound U.S. Route 6/20 between SR 19 and US 20 in Fremont will be reduced to one lane for a slope repair. The estimated completion date is September 10.

West State State ramp to State Route 53/U.S. Route 6 in Fremont is closed during the Eastbound U.S. Route 20 project.

U.S. Route 20 between County Road 32 and County Road 117 in Woodville is reduced to one lane in each direction at the railroad tracks due to pavement conditions.

State Route 19 between Maple Ln. and Academy St. in Green Springs is closed for a culvert replacement. The project is expected to be completed in August. The detour is to go from SR 101 to SR 510 to US 20.

Clay St., between Academy St. and Morgan St., may experience lane restrictions for sidewalk replacement beginning Friday, August 6, through August.

State Route 53 between Schwartz Rd. and the Ohio Turnpike in Fremont may experience lane restrictions for Turnpike work. The project is expected to be completed in September.

State Route 300 north of SR 600 in Gibsonburg is closed for work performed by the Village of Gibsonburg. The detour is US 6 to US 23 to US 20. Work will be performed by Village of Gibsonburg.

Seneca County

U.S. Route 23 between Wyandot County and Fostoria will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing and guardrail. The project is expected to be completed in October.

State Route 19 between SR 101 and SR 228 in Republic will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Tuesday, September 7 for 30 days. The detour is SR 19 to 228 to 101.

State Route 53 between Highland Park Estates and Cottage Dr in Tiffin will experience lane restrictions nightly The project is expected to be completed in September.

State Route 100 between County Road 58 and Riverside Dr in Tiffin will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. The project is expected to be completed in November.
