96 new COVID-19 deaths in Ohio

COLUMBUS and SANDUSKY – Since April 16 in Erie County, 135 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 5,046. There were no new deaths in the past two weeks. 45 more people were hospitalized from COVID-19. 748 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. As of Friday, 11 people are currently being treated at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 101 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.

Since Thursday in the State of Ohio, 997 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 901,143. 128 people were hospitalized. 56,400 people have now been hospitalized from COVID-19 in Ohio. 25,554 people begun the vaccination process. 4,683,125 people in Ohio or 40.06% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 70,419 people also finished the vaccination process. 3,785,650 people or 32.39% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process. Since Tuesday, 96 Ohioans died from COVID-19. 19,284 Ohioans have now died from COVID-19.
