23 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed and 16 new COVID-19 deaths in Erie County

Columbus, OH and Sandusky, OH – Since Friday in Erie County, 23 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 4,441. 16 more people died from COVID-19. 174 people have now died from COVID-19 in Erie County. Six more people were hospitalized from COVID-19. Six people are currently being hospitalized for COVID-19 at Firelands. 626 total people have been hospitalized. 137 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.

Since Tuesday in the State of Ohio, 1,067 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 814,532. 60 more people died from COVID-19. Some of the 60 deaths may be from November or December. 16,513 people have now died of COVID-19 in Ohio. 149 people were hospitalized. 116,925 people begun the vaccination process. 17,928 people begun the vaccination process. 1,339,231 people in Ohio or 11.46% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 18,243 people also finished the vaccination process. 513,004 people or 4.39% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process.
