Woman arrested for OVI allegedly urinates in police cruiser

SANDUSKY – A 30-woman woman allegedly damaged and urinated inside a police cruiser after being arrested for driving intoxicated.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, the incident occurred early Monday morning after an officer observed the vehicle in front of him travel left of the double yellow lines. The report states that after the officer noticed the vehicle having heavily tinted windows, a traffic stop was soon initiated.

According to the report, the driver, Aleisha Lambert, of Sandusky, initially showed several signs of intoxication. The report states she was unable to count backwards from 75 to 57, but refused to continue after 66. Lambert then allegedly completed and failed the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, before refusing to complete any additional Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. She also declined a Portable Breath Test, the report states.

Lambert was placed under arrest and then became aggressive with officers, the report states.

While in the police cruiser, according to the report, Lambert told an officer she had to urinate and that she would urinate in the cruiser if not taken to the restroom. After the officer responded she would have to wait till the paperwork was completed, she allegedly pulled down her pants and urinated on the floor in the back of the cruiser.

The report states that after Lambert was taken to the Erie County Jail, damage was found to the cruiser’s back door.

Insider her vehicle, according to the report, officers found an open bottle of tequila in the back of the passenger compartment.

Lambert was charged with vandalism, a fifth-degree felony; OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor; open container in a motor vehicle, a minor misdemeanor; marked lanes, a minor misdemeanor; and window tint, a minor misdemeanor. She has a previous OVI conviction from 2021.
