Couple accused of having sex on Cedar Point’s Giant Wheel

SANDUSKY – Two individuals were arrested Sunday after they allegedly had sex in a cart on Cedar Point’s Giant Wheel.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, police were called to the ride after a group of four females – two of which were minors – reported seeing the couple having sex on the cart above them.

When police first spoke to the couple, according to the report, David Davis and Heather Johnston claimed that they were not having sex; but instead, Johnston had dropped a cigarette pack out of shorts she had on under her dress, and she just bent over to pick them up and Davis was helping her.

The report states that police then spoke to the girls who claimed that they saw Davis and Johnston having sex and could see their genitals.

Police then spoke again to Davis and Johnston, the report states. Davis, according to the report, first tried to say that the females were making the incident up, but soon admitted to having sex on the ride.

Davis and Johnston were arrested and charged with public indecently, a first-degree misdemeanor.
