Man accused of forcibly entering ex’s house, pepper spraying her

SANDUSKY – A 49-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning after he allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend’s house and assaulted her.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, when police arrived at the Alpine Drive house, they spoke to a woman was covering her eye with a paper towel.

The woman told police that when she returned home that night, Marlon Hale followed her back to her house and forced his way inside, the report states. She claimed that he said his property was still in her house, which she said was not. The woman claimed, according to the report, Hale then began to push her around her bedroom and shoved her to the ground.

According to the report, the woman said that her daughter then came into the room and used pepper spray on Hale; however, he grabbed the spray and used it on her. She said that eventually they were able to push Hale outside and he fled on foot.

The woman’s daughter backed up her mother’s story, the report states.

The report states the woman said that her neighbors had told her that they had seen Hale outside her house multiple times since they broke up three months ago.

Hale was found down the street in his car and after a brief foot chase, arrested him. He was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony, and assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.
