Tornado confirmed in Monroeville
MONROEVILLE – Survey teams from the National Weather Service in Cleveland have confirmed that a tornado touched down in southwest Monroeville during Tuesday’s storms.
According to the National Weather Service, the tornado touched down at 6:38PM and was on the ground for only a minute. It traveled .43 miles.
The tornado was determined to be an EF-1, due to it having estimated peak winds of 90MPH.
No deaths or injuries were reported as a result of the tornado. However, several several trees were uplifted and several grain bins were moved.
A EF-0 tornado was also confirmed near Findlay in Hancock County. That tornado caused damage to two barns and snapped several power lines and trees.
