Woman charged with felony after allegedly attempting to use fake $20 bill at Menards

SANDUSKY – A woman has been charged with a felony after she allegedly attempted to use a fake $20 bill at Menards in Perkins Township.

According to a report from the Perkins Township Police Department, on April 1, police were called to the store for a report a fake twenty dollar bill being received. The store clerk claimed, according to the report, that a woman tried to purchase $18.26 worth of items with a $20 that was fake. The clerk is claimed that, when she informed the woman that the bill was fake, the woman grabbed the items and left the store, the report states.

Police were provided with a description of the woman and security camera footage of the incident. As a result of a post on the Perkins Township Police Department’s social media pages, police were able to identify the woman as Adrianna Hale, 25, of Sandusky.

Hale is charged with counterfeiting (F4) and theft (M1). A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
