Man charged after allegedly breaking woman’s jaw

SANDUSKY – Jason King, 50, of Sandusky, was charged with a felony Saturday after he allegedly broke a woman’s jaw while he was assaulting her.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, a woman arrived at the police station and claimed that she had been assaulted. According to the report, police observed severe swelling on her right jaw area, blood coming from her mouth, and a cut on the back of her head.

According to the report, the woman claimed that King, whom she is in a relationship with, began to hit her after he wanted to watch a different television show. She claimed, according to the report, at one during the assault she hid under a bed and he dragged her out. She said that she escaped by grabbing her car keys and crawling out a window, the report states.

The woman was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center, where it was found her jaw had been broken, the report states.

Police arrested King at the house where the assault allegedly took place. The report states the police found blood throughout the bedroom.

King is charged with Felonious Assault (F2) and and Domestic Violence (M1).
