One hospitalized following crash on US 6

BERLIN HEIGHTS – One individual was hospitalized Friday morning following a crash on US 6 in Berlin Township.

According to a report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on US6 near SR61 and a Hyundai Tucson was stopped at the intersection of SR61 and US6. The Hyundai failed to yield while making a left turn and was struck by the Ford.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 71-year-old Norwalk woman, was transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center for a possible injury. She was cited for failure to yield making left turn

The driver of the Ford was found to have a suspended license, the report states. He was charged with driving with suspended driver’s license (UM).
