One hospitalized after car overturns on SR 13

MILAN – One individual was hospitalized Tuesday morning following a crash on State Route 13 in Milan Township.

According to a report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, a 2010 Mercury Montego was traveling northbound, while a 2013 Audi S5 was traveling southbound. The Audi went left of center; as a result, the Mercury took evasive action attempting to leave the traffic lane to avoid a head on collision. The Audi struck the Mercury in the rear drivers side axle. The Mercury struck two mailboxes, overturned, and came to rest on its roof.

The driver of the Mercury, a 54-year-old Huron woman, was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center by North Central EMS.
