Huron man arrested after allegedly threatening Sandusky school staff

SANDUSKY – A Huron man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly threatened three staff members at Sandusky Primary School.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, the staff members claimed that Brandon Bates, 35, was upset about his daughter being bullied by another student at the school and felt the school was wasn’t handling the problem correctly. One of the staff members took an audio recording of Bates. In the recording, according to the report, Bates can be heard yelling at the staff using several profanities and saying threatening remarks. At one point, according to the report, he says, “All you mother f*****s will pay.”

All three staff members told police that they felt threatened and wished to pursue charges, the report states.

Bates was arrested later that day by the Huron Police Department. The report states the Bates denied threatening the staff.

Bates is charged with three counts of aggravated menacing (M1) and one count of inducing panic (M1).
