One hospitalized following crash on Mason Road

SANDUSKY – One individual was hospitalized following a Saturday evening crash on Mason Road in Groton Township.

According to a report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, a large van failed to stop at the four-way stop sign and struck a car in the intersection. The car then spun around and struck another car that was approaching the intersection.

The driver of the van, a 19-year-old Bellevue man, was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center by North Central EMS. He was also cited for Fail To Obey Traffic Control Device.
