Oran Sherer

Oran J. Sherer, 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 22, 2022 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.

Oran was born on March 28, 1934 in Sandusky, OH to the late Joseph and Clara (Wenz) Sherer.

Oran was a Veteran of the Army who proudly served his country from 1957-1959. He attended Grace Episcopal Church and was a member of the American Legion Post #83, AMVETS Post #17, Sandusky Orioles Club #279 and the Erie County Conservation League.

Oran is survived by his two sons, David and Norm Sherer both of Sandusky.

In addition to his parents, Oran is preceded in death by wife, Jane E. (Arnold) Sherer in 2005 and brothers, Paul Sherer

Friends may call on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00 am. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
