Man charged with four previous OVI convictions charged with OVI

SANDUSKY – Chadrick Johnson, 49, of Sandusky, who has four previous OVI convictions, was charged with OVI early Tuesday morning.

According to a report from the Sandusky Police Department, Johnson was pulled over on Pearl Street after an officer observed his vehicle driving without any headlights and nearly strike a parked vehicle.

The report states that during the stop, Johnson appeared intoxicated to the officer. It states that Johnson admitted to the officer that he had “some” alcohol to drink.

According to the report, Johnson failed or refused several Field Sobriety Tests and also refused a Data Master test, after originally agreeing to one.

Johnson was charged with OVI (M1), OVI Refusal (M1), and Weaving (MM). He was released to a sober individual.

Johnson was previously convicted of OVI in 1995, 1999, 2002, and 2008.
