Huron Tiger girls basketball defeat Sandusky 36-35

SANDUSKY – At Tuesday’s girls varsity basketball team between the Huron Tigers and Sandusky Blue Streaks, the Tigers defeated the Blue Streaks by just one point.

Huron finished ahead at the end of all quarters. The first quarter ended 12-5; the second quarter ended 19-14; and third quarter ended 28-25.

With less than a minute left in the game, Sandusky was ahead 35-34. With just .6 seconds left, Huron’s Ava Winnestaffer made two foul shots and led the Tigers to a 36-35 win.

The Huron girls are now 6-2.
