Man arrested for allegedly attempting to break into Sandusky house

SANDUSKY – Hunter Farmer, 23, of Sandusky, was charged and arrested Saturday after he was allegedly caught attempting to break into a house on Central Drive.

According to the report from the Sandusky Police Department, police were dispatched to the house for a report of a burglary in progress.

The report states that, when police arrived, they were met by the complainant who brought them to the back deck where they found the complainant’s husband who was holding Farmer down. Police then arrested Farmer, who, according to the report, resisted.

The complainant’s husband, according to the report, told police that he heard knocking on the door and, when he opened it, Farmer lunged at him. The complainant’s husband, the report states, told police that he then tackled Farmer.

The report also states that the complainant told police that she did not know Farmer.

Farmer is charged with Burglary (F2), Aggravated Menacing (M1), and Resisting Arrest (M2).
