Huron Tigers boys swim team finishes first ahead of Danbury, Port Clinton

PORT CLINTON – The Huron Tiger boys swim team finished first ahead of the Danbury Lakers and Port Clinton Redskins Wednesday.

The Huron boys finished with 90 points; by comparison, Port Clinton finished with 63 points, and Danbury with 7 points.

On the girls side, Port Clinton finished first with 126 points, Huron finished second with 31 points, and Danbury finished third with 12 points.

Below are some highlights of the Tigers at the meet:

Gabe Schleenbaker, Scott Allen, Nick Rager, and TJ Murrary 2:13.39 finished first in the Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay. They finished with a time of 2:13.39.

Junior Granthem Brown finished first in the Boys 200 Yard IM and 500 Yard Freestyle. Brown finished with a time of 2:10.58 in the 200 and a time of 5:11.93 in the 500.

Junior Gabe Schleenbaker finished first in the Boys 100 Yard Backstroke. Schleebaker finished with a time of 1:12.53. This was his first first place varsity finish.

Freshman Scott Allen finished first in the Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke. Allen finished with a time of 1:12.46. This was also his first first place varsity finish.
