Man admits to police to calling Jim’s Pizza Box and asking for “the sexual predator special with a side of pandering”

HURON – According to a police report, Huron Police were called to Jim’s Pizza Box multiple times Friday evening for reports that man was harassing the restaurant’s employees.

Police were first called the restaurant for a report of telecommunications harassment. The manager told police that a caller said that he’d “like to request delivery specifically by the West family” and that he was ordering “the sexual harassment special with a side of pandering”. Police were able to track the caller, identified as Joseph Bilgen, due to his number being in the Huron Police Department’s system. Police spoke to Bilgen who at first denied the call, but then said that he asked for “the sexual predator special with a side of pandering”. Police told Bilgen not to call the restaurant anymore.

One hour later, police were called back to the restaurant for a report of an individual yelling at an employee behind the restaurant. The manager said that, when an employee went outside to take out the trash, the employee could hear someone yelling from a distance and mentioning “the special”.

The owner of the restaurant, James West Jr., spoke to police. He said that he would like to file charges against Bilgen, because he has been having ongoing issues with the caller. Police said that they would not file charges because no prior incidents were reported to police.

Jim’s Pizza Box and the West family are currently suing several individuals, including Bilgen and the Sandusky Register in relation to an alleged 2019 sexual harassment incident that involved West Jr.’s minor half-brother.
