Milan hotel employee allegedly receives death threat

MILAN – An Erie County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at the Quality Inn in Milan Township early Friday morning for a threatening phone call.

According to a report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, a front desk employee said that she received a call from a male in his twenties or thirties. The caller told the employee that he was going to come to the hotel, rob it, and then kill her.

The employee said that she has not had any issues with any guests or employees recently and that other clerks at Avery hotels said that they haven’t received any similar types of phone calls.

The employee said that she did not have a phone number for the caller available.

She said that she was going to lock the front door for the remainder of the night.

The deputy advised her to contact this agency back if there was any further suspicious activity.
