Edison and Sandusky schools to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinics for children ages 5 to 11

MILAN and SANDUSKY – Edison Local Schools and Sandusky City Schools have partnered with the Erie County Heath Department to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinics for children ages 5 to 11.

The Edison clinic will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4-6pm at Edison High School. The Sandusky clinic will be held on on Monday, November 22 from 3-6pm at Sandusky City Schools.

The clinics are for all children ages 5 to 11, not just ones that attend Edison or Sandusky.

Both clinics will distribute the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine is the only COVID-19 vaccine approved by the FDA for children ages 5 to 11.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child to the clinic. If insured, parents will be required to bring the child’s insurance card and the parent’s driver’s license or photo ID to the clinic. There is no charge for the vaccine, however, a vaccine administration charge will be billed to insurance. There will be no out of pocket cost for the vaccine or administration charge.
