UPDATED: Man who allegedly ran from police during traffic stop located

UPDATE 8:40PM FRIDAY: HURON – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says Jason Rasnick, 42, has been located and is in custody.

UPDATE 8:00PM FRIDAY: HURON – The ground search has been cancelled for a man who allegedly ran from Huron police officers during a traffic stop, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

A warrant has now been issued for Jason Rasnick, 42. Anyone with information on Rasnick and his whereabouts is asked to contact the Huron Police Department at 419-433-4114.

ORIGINAL POST: BERLIN HEIGHTS – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for an individual who allegedly ran off from police.

The Sheriff’s Office says the male, who was not identified, took off from Huron police units on a traffic stop and was last seen in the Berlin Township area on foot.

He is wearing a tan shirt, shorts, a ball cap, and is possibly barefoot, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone who sees him is asked to contact 911 or call the Sheriff’s Office line at 419-625-7951 ext. 1.
