Sharon Bauer

Sharon Lee (Hachtel) Bauer, 80, residing in Huron, passed away Wednesday evening, November 3, 2021 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Sharon was born on October 1, 1941 in Wauseon, OH to the late Dick Victor and Helen (Post) Hachtel.

Sharon received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University. She owned and operated her sewing shop, Daisy Design Inc. and enjoyed gardening.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerald W. Bauer, whom she married on June 13, 1964. She is also survived by her two sons, William Bauer of Sandusky and John (Traci) Bauer of Huron; four brothers, James (Sharon) Hachtel of Lancaster, OH, Tom (Sandra) Hachtel of Otis, OR, David (Debra) Hachtel of Mena, AR and Don (Dawn) Hachtel of Powell, OH; beloved grandchildren, Skylar, Paige and Everett and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 106 Scheid Rd., Sandusky. Pastor Stacy Lauer-Scovanner will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
