What Huron voters need to know for the November 2 General Election

HURON – The November 2 General Election is less then a week away; here’s a quick overview of what Huron voters need to know about how to vote and what’s going to be on the ballot in this election.

Where do you vote?

Finding your polling place in a quick process. Simply type your address into the Erie County Board of Election’s Polling Location Search, and your polling place will be found.

When are the polls are open?

6:30AM to 7:30PM

Huron Township Board of Trustees (Vote for no more than two)

Erie County General Health District Tax Levy

A renewal levy that would benefit the Erie County General Health District for “the purpose of providing the Board of Health of said
health district with sufficient funds to carry out its health program.” The levy would be at a rate not exceeding 0.2 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.02 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2022.

Huron City School District Tax Levy

A levy imposed by the Huron City School District for “the purpose of avoiding an operating deficit of the school district inn the sum of $2,100,000 per year.” The levy will cost taxpayers an additional $192 per year for each $100,000 of property valuation.

This is the exact same issue that failed in May.
