Two hospitalized following head-on crash on State Route 412

VICKERY – Two individuals were hospitalized following a head-on crash that took place on SR 412 near TR 306 in Sandusky County, according the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A black 2006 Toyota Avalon, driven by Korah R. Keegan, 21, of Fremont, that was driving eastbound on SR 412 failed to negotiate a curve, went left of center, and struck silver 2007 Ford Edge, driven by Alicia J. Haubert, 23.

Keegan sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Haubert sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. Haubert’s front seat passenger, Phillip Rattliff, 39, of Fremont, sustained serious injuries and was flown to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center.

All involved were wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation; however, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Sandusky County Life Squads 15 & 18, Townsend Township Fire Department, Saint Vincent’s Life Flight, Ash’s Towing, and Triple J’s Towing.
