More details announced about Vax-2-School program

COLUMBUS – More details have been announced about Ohio’s new incentive program to get youth and young adults vaccinated for COVID-19.

The program, Vax-2-School, will give away a total of $2 million in scholarships. The prizes are 150 $10,000 and five $100,000 scholarships to any Ohio college or university or career or technical education.

Any vaccinated Ohioan aged 12-25 will be able to enter. If emergency use authorization is granted for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for kids ages 5-11, the age will be expanded to 5-25.

If a eligible person would like to participate in the program, beginning Monday, Oct. 4, they can can enter online at ohiovax2school.com or by phone at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH.

The Ohio Department of Health is using a portion of its Coronavirus Relief Funds to fund the initiative.

A deadline to enter and drawing dates have not yet been announced yet.
