Marilyn Millis

Marilyn (Chamberlain) Millis, 89, of Huron, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2021 at her daughter’s house in Sandusky surrounded by her family.

She was born January 25, 1932 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late William and Ethel (Obergefell) Chamberlain. On April 19, 1952 she married the love of her life, Bernard Millis. Together they raised nine children.

Marilyn loved Christmas when her whole family got together and she was able to see and enjoy her 19 grandkids and 20 great grandkids.  The hugs she received from them were the best Christmas gift she could have asked for.  She was so proud to say that she had two great-great grandkids, and she lived long enough to say she had a fifth generation in her family.

You will have never met a kinder soul who put everyone else’s needs before her own.  She enjoyed the daily visits she had with her children where they played Yahtzee and cards.

Surviving her are her children, Rick (Sandi) Millis, Debora (Donald) Querin, William (Melissa) Millis, Bernie (Wendy) Millis, Linda (Arsenio) Millis, Dawn (Chad) Dubbert, and Terry Millis; and siblings, Rita Manner, Joyce Tight, and Ralph Chamberlain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard on October 20, 1999; sons, Thomas and David in 2011; sisters, Ruth Liedorf, Lois Ulmer, and Alice Brady; and brothers, Charles, Paul, Robert, David, and Joseph Chamberlain.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5-7pm at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron 44839. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7pm.  Burial will be at Scott Cemetery on Huron Avery Road, Huron, on Thursday October 7, 2021 at 10am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, or Stein Hospice at 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.

Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, Huron, is assisting the family.
