Forum to be held for candidates running for Huron government seats

HURON – The Huron Chamber of Commerce and Huron Public Library will hold a forum for the Huron City Council, Huron Township Board of Trustees, and Huron Board of Education candidates, along with the Huron City Schools Levy Committee.

The forum will be held on Wednesday, September 29 at 6:30PM in the auditorium at McCormick Junior High School.

The public can submit questions for the candidates by emailing chamber@huron.net by Monday, September 27th.

Who’s running for local Huron government seats

Sam Artino, William D. Biddlecombe, Joe Dike, and Matt Grieves are running for Huron City Council. Artino and Dike are currently on council. Biddlecombe previously ran for council in 2019. Due to four people running and four spots being open, the Huron City Council race is uncontested.

Ed Enderle, Mary K. Schlessman, and Edward Wimmer are running for the Huron Township Board of Trustees. Enderle is currently on the board.

John C. Adams, Sherry Catri, Stacey Hartley, Ryan Hathaway, Stacy Hinners, Kimberly King, Elizabeth Laffay, and Andra Kurtz are running for the Huron Board of Education.
