Local highway construction for the week of September 20

North Central Ohio – Here is a look at construction projects that are anticipated to impact highways in Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca counties on the week of September 20.

Erie County

U.S. 6 from the western Vermilion Corporation limits to the Lorain County line and State Route 60 from the southern Vermilion Corporation limits to U.S. 6 will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers on SR 60. Lane closures will be in place on U.S. 6 with one lane of traffic maintained in each direction. The estimated completion date is May 2022.

State Route 99 south of Strecker Road will have single lane closures for a culvert replacement project. Traffic will be maintained using temporary traffic signals or flaggers. The estimated completion date is October.

SR 113 between McIntyre Road and SR 61 will close on Tuesday, September 14 for 45 days for resurfacing work. The detour route for eastbound motorists will be SR 113 to U.S. 250, north on U.S. 250 to SR 13, north on SR 13 to SR 2, east on SR 2 to SR 61, south on SR 61 to SR 113, and reverse for westbound motorists. The estimated completion date is Friday, October 29.

Crews will be resurfacing within the village of Milan from 7AM to 6PM.

Huron County

State Route 13 between SR 162 and Omega Road will have intermittent lane closures for a culvert replacement project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The estimated completion date is September.

The intersection of U.S. 20 and State Route 601 is closed for an intersection improvement project that will convert the current intersection into a single-lane roundabout.

U.S. 20 along the Norwalk Bypass from SR 61 to the end of the bypass at Cleveland Road will have intermitted single lane closures for a resurfacing project. The estimated completion is September.

State Route 162 will close just east of Rome Greenwich Road and just west of Greenwich Milan Townline Road on Monday, September 13 for culvert replacements. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 162 to SR 61, south on SR 61 to U.S. 224, east on U.S. 224 to SR 13, north on SR 13 to SR 162, and reverse for westbound motorists. The estimated completion date is Friday, September 24.

U.S. 250 from U.S. 20 to the Ashland County line will have lane closures for a resurfacing project. The estimated completion date is September.

Lorain County

State Route 254 from Avon Commons drive to just east of Nagle Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. The estimated completion date is October.

Ottawa County

State Route 105 between S. Elliston-Trowbridge Road and S. Graytown Road in Harris Township will be closed for a slope repair project through Tuesday, September 21. The detour is SR 105 to SR 51 to SR 163 to SR 590 to SR 105.

Sandusky County

U.S. Route 6 between CR 232 and TR 240 in Fremont is closed for a bridge replacement. The estimated completion date is September 30. The detour is US 20 to SR 412 to SR 510.

U.S. Route 6/20, between Christy Rd. and near the US 6 split, Fremont, will experience lane restrictions for wet reflective pavement striping on Monday, September 20 and Tuesday, September 21.

U.S. Route 20 between County Road 32 and County Road 117 in Woodville is reduced to one lane in each direction at the railroad tracks due to pavement conditions.

State Route 18, between Ashford Ave. and Hamilton St., Bellevue, will be closed for railroad repairs beginning Tuesday, September 28 through Thursday, September 30. Work performed by railroad. The detour is County Road 62 to SR 269.

State Route 19 between East Cole Road and Ding Road in Fremont will be closed for railroad repairs beginning Monday, September 20 through Wednesday, September 22. Work performed by railroad. The detour is SR 101 to SR 510 to US 20.

State Route 19 between Maple Ln. and Academy St. in Green Springs is closed for a culvert replacement. The project is expected to be completed in August. The detour is to go from SR 101 to SR 510 to US 20.

State Route 101 between SR 510 and US 20 in Clyde will be closed for railroad repairs beginning Wednesday, September 22 through Friday, September 24. Work performed by railroad. The detour is SR 778 to SR 19 to US 20.

State Route 300 north of SR 600 in Gibsonburg is closed for work performed by the Village of Gibsonburg. The detour is US 6 to US 23 to US 20.

State Route 510 between SR 101 and US 20 in Clyde will be closed for railroad repairs beginning Wednesday, September 22 through Friday, September 24. Work performed by railroad. The detour is SR 778 to SR 19 to US 20.

Seneca County

U.S. Route 23 between Wyandot County and Fostoria will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing and guardrail. The project is expected to be completed in October.

U.S. Route 224 at State Route 53 in Tiffin will be closed beginning Monday, September 20 for 12 days. Sidewalk restrictions are possible. The US 224 detour is SR 4 to SR 162 to SR 18. The SR 53 detour is SR 18 to US 224 to SR 587.

State Route 19 between SR 101 and SR 228 in Republic will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Tuesday, September 7 for 30 days. The detour is SR 19 to 228 to 101.

State Route 53 between Highland Park Estates and Cottage Dr in Tiffin will experience lane restrictions nightly The project is expected to be completed in September.

State Route 100 between County Road 58 and Riverside Dr in Tiffin will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing. The project is expected to be completed in November.
