150 new cases of COVID-19, 23 new COVID-19 hospitalizations in Erie County in past week

SANDUSKY – Since August 10, there have been 150 new cases of COVID-19, and 23 new COVID-19 hospitalizations in Erie County.

8,885 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 in Erie County.

19 people are currently being treated for COVID-19 at Firelands Regional Medical Center. 857 people have now been hospitalized for COVID-19 in Erie County.

38,778 or 52.22% people in Erie County have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 36,324 or 48.91% people in Erie County have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To register to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Ohio, go to gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov.

The CDC currently lists Erie County as having “high” community transmission of COVID-19.
