Huron’s Lenczyk and Murray earn #2 seed at district tennis tournament

PORT CLINTON – Huron’s Joey Lenczyk and JT Murray secured a #2 seed at the district tournament, by advancing to the sectional finals on Saturday.  They were the #4 seed in the sectional tournament.

Below is a summary of their matches,
Lenczyk and Murray were BYE in the first round.
In the second round, Lenczyk and Murray defeated Perkins’s Jaron Ninke and Tim Gray, 6-0 and 6-0
In the quarterfinal round, Lenczyk and Murray defeated Norwalk’s Dylan Peaco and Braden Lloyd, 6-4 and 6-2.
In the semifinal round, Lenczyk and Murray defeated the #2 seed of Port Clinton’s Owen Auxter and Noah Shaw, 6-1, 0-6, and 6-3.
In the finals round, Lenczyk and Murray lost to the #1 seed of Norwalk’s Carson Colohan and Ashton Coe, 1-6 and 0-6.
