16 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed and eight new COVID-19 deaths in Erie County

Columbus, OH and Sandusky, OH – Since Friday in Erie County, 16 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 4,468. Four more people died from COVID-19. 186 people have now died from COVID-19 in Erie County. There were no new COVID-19 hospitalizations. Four people are currently being hospitalized for COVID-19 at Firelands. 626 total people have been hospitalized. 154 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.

Since Sunday in the State of Ohio, 977 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 821,016. 58 more people died from COVID-19. 16,874 people have now died of COVID-19 in Ohio. 120 people were hospitalized. 11,395 people begun the vaccination process. 1,451,107 people in Ohio or 12.41% of Ohio’s population have now begun the vaccination process. 16,818 people also finished the vaccination process. 675,105 people or 5.78% of Ohio’s population have now finished the vaccination process.
