City issues warning about individual attempting to enter citizen’s homes

VERMILION – The City of Vermilion is warning their citizens after reports of an individual approaching homeowners, identifying themselves as a City employee, and saying they want inspect their furnace system.

The City says they do not do unscheduled, unrequested inspections and homeowners should “not allow anyone you do not know into your home.”

Anyone with issues regarding the unknown individual attempting to access people’s homes is asked to call the non-emergency police line at 440-967-6116 or, if they feel unsafe, 911.
