Multiple crews respond to Margaretta Township house fire

CASTALIA – Crews from multiple fire departments were busy Wednesday battling a house fire on the 3300 block of Bardshar Road in Margaretta Township.

According to the Margaretta Township Fire Department, crews responded to the house after they were conducting an inspection down the street, when they heard tones drop and observed heavy smoke.

The Fire Department said the house as well as all belongings that were inside were a total loss. Several dogs, cats, and birds were also killed in the fire.

One dog was able to be revived and is doing well, according to the Fire Department.
