Vermilion police add restriction following spike in COVID-19 cases

UPDATE: The Vermilion Police Department says they have resumed regular operations.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: VERMILION – Following a recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the Vermilion Police Department will temporarily be closed to walk-in visitors.

Minor complaints can still be handled by calling 440-967-6116, and emergency response calls will still be provided.

According to a notice from the police department, the change is “a precautionary measure to minimize exposures while the station is disinfected.”

The department says they anticipate a return to normal operations within a week.
