Pennsylvania man killed in crash on 250

MILAN – One man was killed and two other individuals were hospitalized Friday morning following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 250 in the Avery area of Milan Township.

According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a 2022 Subaru Outlander exited a private driveway on the east side of U.S. 250 with the intent to turn southeast-bound on US250; however, the Subaru failed to yield to a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe which was driving northwest-bound. The Hyundai struck the Subaru on the driver’s side.

The driver of the Subaru, Norman MacIntyre, 82, of Easton, Pennsylvania, was transported to Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk and later passed away at the hospital due to his injuries. A passenger, Suzanne MacIntyre, 76, also of Easton, Pennsylvania, sustained serious injuries and was transferred from Fisher-Titus to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

The driver of the Hyundai was also transported to Fisher-Titus, where he remains hospitalized as of Friday afternoon.

The Sheriff’s Office says there is no indication of alcohol or drug usage by either vehicle operator and all involved individuals were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
